#5: User experience matters! (March 2009)

This Monday we had our 5th event, which happened at IBM head office in Zurich. More then 60 participants assembled to discuss the latest trends in User Interface Design on mobile devices and related technologies.

The tone of the event was set by Clive Grinyer from Cisco who addressed the disconnect between technology, and what users actually want and need. A good example is 3G technology, which was introduced five years ago and only now starts to really pick up. The reason – iPhone and alike devices which set the new standards for design and usability helping user to adopt 3G at a much faster pace.
Other speakers highlighted the same trend in the mobile interface design, User Interface indeed matters and is able to drive the technological innovation.
MobileModay Switzerland team would like to thank all event sponsors and organizers and in particular Siddhartha Arora, IBM and Ann-Byrd Platt, Swisscom. Great job!
Presentation slides are available here.
