Social networking services come in many sizes and flavors to appeal to people with a wide range of languages, cultures and objectives. Many services are accessible both from the PC connected to the Web with a broadband network as well as a phone using a mobile network. Â What are the technology platforms for mobile social networks? How are companies currently providing mobile social networks driving growth and overcoming obstacles? What are the newest developments and what does the future hold for this category of services?

This meeting will begin with an overview of current Mobile Social Networking trends and presentation of the conclusions of Informa Media and Telecom´s new market research report on the topic. Following the analyst presentation, the executives of four companies providing mobile social networks and social media hosting services will describe their unique strategies for success.

Format for this meeting: Presentations by experts will be followed by interactive demonstrations during our casual, informal networking and refreshments.

Demonstrations: During our networking time, we will have live mobile social network service demonstrations and information provided by the invited speakers.

Christine is an independent consultant and industry analyst focusing on mobile social networking, mixed and augmented reality and other uses for machine learning as a basis for intelligent network-based consumer-facing services (such as the Internet of Things). She is an evangelist working at the intersection of research and business, providing technology transfer and business development services in her domains of expertise. She co-founded the Mobile Monday Switzerland chapter.

Olivier, MobiLuck founder and CEO, earned a software engineering degree (CNAM 1994) after 10 years of evening lessons. Before creating MobiLuck he worked for 20 years in software and consulting for various companies: DSA (automotive), Egor (recruitment), Havas (advertising), Micropole (software house), PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte Consulting (with a focus on Customer Relationship Management). He founded MobiLuck in 2003 and created a Bluetooth messaging application that became one of the first and most popular mobile application for smartphones. In 2007, he launched the web-based service that is now one of the largest and fastest-growing location-based mobile social network with 1.2 million members worldwide and several thousand new members everyday. He´s the father of 4 boys and loves chocolate.

Roger Fischer, Kaywa

Finding your way with QR codes and communities (Slides)
Roger Fischer is CEO and co-founder of Kaywa. Roger is a serial entrepreneur. In 2003 he started Kaywa with a focus on mobile blogging services. Since that time he has participated in the development of numerous barcode-based marketing campaigns leveraging Kaywa technology for major brands in Switzerland and across Europe. “DokoDare: Places, People, Me,” one of Kayway’s recent projects in collaboration with Hochschule fur Technik Rapperswil, is a location-based mobile service based on QR Codes. He did his post-graduate studies in film and audiovisual media in Paris.

Electronlibre´s portfolio of clients included Nespresso, Orange and Audemars Piguet. During that period, he launched several social media projects such as Cocomment, Fairtilizer, Mx3, Wattwatt, Tripbook and Sushi. Raphaí«l studied in Barcelona as graphic designer and university of Neuchí¢tel as IT developer. Raphaí«l is a real-time communicator, walking with an open connection to Twitter and Techmeme.
